چکیده

Papillary muscle rupture may occur even in patients with small or no myocardial ischemic lesion, and it also arise from iatrogenic complications. We report a case of papillary following artery dissection, that apparently occurred due to catheter intervention. An 83-year-old woman stable angina pectoris underwent percutaneous coronary Coronary dissection during the procedure; however, she showed symptoms change her laboratory parameters. She presented dyspnea after 9 days. Echocardiography massive mitral regurgitation ruptured posterior median muscle. emergent valve replacement recovered without associated intervention is an extremely rare but serious complication, area merits observation.

Coronary artery dissection and perforation complicating percutaneous coronary intervention.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is widely utilized in the treatment of symptomatic coronary artery disease. Despite its numerous benefits, serious and potentially life-threatening complications of PCI can occur, including iatrogenic coronary artery dissection and perforation. The incidence of these complications has been augmented by the development of coronary interventional devices i...
